HFG partners explore IP magic at ECTA Annual Conference
HFG’s partners Fabio Giacopello and Daniel de Prado Escudero were in Prague, Czech Republic, for the ECTA annual meeting on June 28th-July 1st. The theme of the ECTA meeting this year was Exploring IP magic: which is perfect to describe Prague, also called The City of Magic. And after all, helping clients to create and protect their intangible assets often involves art, magic and alchemy in various forms and ratios.
Four days full of conferences and meetings where IP lawyers from around the world came together to discuss many issues: The world of IP is constantly changing, and the conference topics reflect new trends and developments.
The speakers enlightened the participants on IP issues in the online world, EU design reform and anti-counterfeiting, bad faith, brands and sports, non-agri GIs, works of applied arts and geographical names in trade marks. The conference ended with the ever-popular EU case law update.
Also, the social agenda of the conference was full of vibrant events organized at beautiful and magic local venues, full of opportunities of networking and the chance to meet colleagues within the IP field from all around the world.
