HFG got a new Partner - Nicola Aporti
HFG is delighted to announce the appointment of Nicola Aporti as the firm's new Partner. Nicola has been with HFG since 2013. Since that time, his years of service have made significant contributions to the firm and its clients.
Nicola supports international clients in establishing and running their operations in China. He has substantive experience in the food regulatory, consumer protection, advertising, corporate (set-up, M&A, restructuring), and administrative problem-solving areas.
Most of his clients come from the F&B, automotive and fashion industries, in which Nicola has gained a strong in-field understanding.
With a project-management approach, Nicola helps his clients by implementing complex projects under all regulatory aspects involved (tax, custom, financial, product safety, environmental) and providing turn-key solutions.
Nicola is author of Guida alla normativa dell’Industria Alimentare in Cina, Food Editore, Parma 2013; Introduccion al Derecho Alimentario en China, Thomson Reuters Aranzadi, Madrid 2014; and co-author of Sostenibilità e Cina, L’Asino d’Oro, Milano 2014.
Moreover, Nicola regularly contributes as speaker in international conferences, writes articles on reviews such as European Food and Feed Law Review, Lexology, Rivista di diritto Alimentare, Food, eFood Lab, and posts weekly updates on his www.chinafoodlaw.blog
Qualifications
Nicola completed his international law studies between Italy, France and Australia and holds a degree in Law from University of Ferrara (Italy).
In 2005 he was admitted to the Italian bar.
He moved to China in 2006, and has been practicing with a French law firm until 2009, with an Italian firm until 2012 and with Chinese firm HFG since then.
Nicola is fluent in English, Mandarin, French and is an Italian native speaker.
In 2010-2014 Nicola lectured at the Shanghai Normal University the “Practice of PRC law” course for international students.
In 2016 he has been awarded the ILO – CLIENT CHOICE award in London for the category China-Litigation
