Fabio Giacopello talks at the Seminar about Data Compliance and Protection for Business in China

Fabio Giacopello, senior partner at HFG, will speak at the Seminar Data Compliance and Protection for Businesses in China organized by the Embassy of Italy in Beijing, with the support of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce and EU SME Centre.

On May 22, 2024 in Beijing, top experts will deep the legal framework of data governance and treatment of data as asset.

The legal framework on data, in fact, has a significant intersection with the IP regime. 

China is exploring a "data intellectual property protection" regime, based on registration on an ad hoc platform, and is working out solutions to the issue of intellectual property protection in data training activities. 

China has coupled the above innovations with very significant additions to its institutional framework, including the establishment of a National Data Office specifically responsible for data issues.
